To rule out gunk or sediment from the tank clogging things up, just remove the feed line from the burner and hit the reset button. have a few coffee cans ready, b/c a steady stream of oil will be coming out. Catch the oil in the coffe can, and when the can is about half full or so, have a second person kill the power to the furnace. Check out the oil in the can. Have you ever had the tank checked for sediment? It sounds like you are having a problem keeping enough oil in the line to feed the needs of the furnace, Did you have a recent oil delivery? Some times the pressure of the oil coming in to an almost empty tank hits the bottom of the tank and shakes up the sediment and sludge. Check the filter again to see if it is clogged. Also try blowing the line out that feeds the furnace. Everything else seems to be working. I think it is just starving for the right amount of fuel.
I would say you need a professional oil repairman who has MANY YEARS of experience. If it ran for five days and in that short time became (unusually carboned?) up, then the settings are not correct, or perhaps the wrong nozzle size; or the fuel air combination; but whatever it is, it is serious enough that you need a pro. IF you have been paying a professional service, and they have not figured it out, then I would call them back and say you immediately want the most experience man to come, and you are upset this hasn't happened already. If that has already has been the case, I would consider maybe finding a more experienced company... or just talk with the guy you use now, and kindly ask for full explanatinos of what's going on, and decide for yourself if they are charging appropriately for the service rendered.

Was doing my yearly clean on my 72 Chev,I found a ded squirel in my oil filter.Is this common with this model?

That year was notorious for the dead squirrel problems on all Chevy motors. I believe that was the year they had a high turnover rate and couldn't hire people fast enough, so they started hiring squirrels. What happened was, they hire a lot of lazy squirrels and some of them would climb up in the motors on the assembly line and sleep. Some were never seen again. Chevrolet was embarrassed about hiring squirrels and never let it out and decided it would be best to deal with it on a case to case basis instead of a nationwide recall.
I am sorry that you ended up with one of the problem models, but would recommend you call gm and see if they are still fixing the issues with that. Yes, that was a factory option on the '72. Who ever bought the car new must have gotten the squirel option.
Just a common Chevy issue. Replace it every 25 years and yoi'll be fine

I got a mitsubishi mighty max sp turbo diesel, I can not find the oil filter or the diesel filter for it?
Its an 84 mighty max sp with the 4d55 on it but the filters they sell for it do not fit they're too small and there is no other that will fit. My oil filter is huge for the size of the engine does anyone have run into this? My fuel filter is also different the one I got from the parts store screws on but the one on the truck is just an element that goes inside the housing.

If you can not get it off with your hands and you do not have access to a oil filter wrench then get a large set of chanel locks and wrap a rag around the filter and use the chanel locks to break it lose and unscrew the rest of the way with your hands, doesn't matter if you damage the surface of the filter as you will be replacing it.
if its your first oil change the filter will be a bear to come off. use a quality oil filter wrench or one of the cap oil filter wrenches.
wrap a rag around it and use a small filter wrench it will come off,i ran across this problem already,good luck.

Until i invested in a socket set for those caps i used a large adjustable wrench at work...the strap wrench may do the job but i have never tried that...Good Luck
