How hot does an oil filter get?

I'm adding magnets to my Toyota Yaris' oil filter, so can you tell me how hot the oil filter gets generally?How hot does an oil filter get?
It should get as hot as the oil gets which is roughly the temp of the engine or slightly higher, so if you have a thermostat set at 195degrees then oil should be around 220 or so. Hot, but magnet will stick. Many vehicles transmissions have a magnet built in to the pan already, and a few companies make oil filter magnets.How hot does an oil filter get?
they get very hot generally around 200 degrees or so.
