Where is the oil filter located on my 1998 gmc sonoma?

its the same car as a 1998 chevy s-10.every eighth one at the factory gets the gmc grill.i hope the oil filter is accessable ,so i can change it myself.i hate new cars.every time something goes wrong you have to pay someone else astronomical amounts of money to get it fixed.you also have no way of knowing wether or not they are lying to you and ripping you off.Where is the oil filter located on my 1998 gmc sonoma?
If its a 2wd, the oil filter should be in the driver's side wheel well. If its a 4x4, there should be a trap door underneath the front bumper at the splash panel. The 4x4 have a remote oil filter mount on the other side of the trap door. Best of luck
