Where is the oil filter located in a 2000 Chevy s10 Truck, 2WD?

We have looked everywhere under this truck. Any help out there?Where is the oil filter located in a 2000 Chevy s10 Truck, 2WD?
The filter is located by the oil pan up near the drain plug. You'll obviously have to get underneath the truck to get it, so unless you're small enough to slide under there you'll need to jack it up.Where is the oil filter located in a 2000 Chevy s10 Truck, 2WD?
If I could vote now for the best answer, I would vote for 08 Montana because that's exactly where we found it. Report Abuse

you get under the truck, take a flathead screwdriver with you. Just under the bumper there is a little DOOR that you have to open to access it. I know, it's stupid. I was stumped too. You should drain all the oil out of the pan, then bear paw the oil filter off, then bear paw a new filter on, then put the plug back in then put the correct amount of oil in (look it up) or call autozone. -john in iowa

OH, AND SINCE I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO GIVE YOU THE CORRECT ANSWER, PLEASE GIVE ME BEST ANSWER. THX!
If 2.2L 4 cylinder, it would be on the passenger side of vehicle near fan pulley. if it is a 4.3LV6, it would be on the driver side next to the area where the engine bolts to transmission. The first person who answered was referring as if it is a 4wd.
