Your car has a paper cartrige rather than the usual metal cannister oil filter. [They used to have these back in the 1950's.] The reason for the for eliminating the convenient metal spin on filters is that Toyota is ';going green'; and does not want all that metal in the landfills. The new filter is a pain to replace and if not done correctly could cause a leak and damage your engine.

Here is the link to someone showing how to change the oil %26amp; filter on a 2007 Camry V-6.

You must be very careful to get the gaskets done right. I suggest you take your car to the dealer unless you really know what you are doing. Here in Kansas City, all the dealers do the oil %26amp; filter change for around $30. Also, you need 6 quarts of high quality 5w30 oil.
pretty much same way any car made wil be and most are easy to do just need a oil filter wrench they just unscrew really easy with right tool and any parts store can get a new one along with oil you need just ask for a oil filter wrench and type into search box

Looks like a normal oil filter to me. If it doesn't look like every other oil filter you've ever seen then you're not looking at the engine oil filter.

I agree with the other answer, you're probably looking at the transmission oil filter. But, the transmission oil filter should look pretty much the same, but smaller.

It could just be that you need to pick up an oil filter wrench, they're under $5 and make taking off a filter very easy. You can also just stab a screwdriver threw the side, stab as close to the engine side of the filter as you're able to do, (assuming you're taking it off to replace it) use the screwdriver as a T-bar to unscrew it. Expect oil to come out when you stab it though.
you are probably trying to change the filter on the transmission it looks close to a oil filter. look around and find another filter near the motor size up the new filter with the old to make sure they are the same size. if you pull it off and you see red oil its the wrong one!
what do you mean its different
