It is next to impossible to get the oil filter off. I've checked the Mazda website but can't find any info.Is there a special oil filter wrench for the Mazda 6?
There is a tool that the Mazda techs use but you can't buy it anywhere. I had the same problem, try using one of the cap type filter wrenches. With some luck this will work for you.Is there a special oil filter wrench for the Mazda 6?
No, they just dont want you changing the oil yourself. Besides taking it in isnt that expensive anyway.
Use one of kind that slip over the end of the filter..They are available at most stores..Walmat etc..low priced..the smaller one is probably the one you need..The device lable tells what filter it fits.
