What is the connector/harness under the oil filter for on an 01 crown vic?

In order to remove the oil filter on a 2001 Crown Vic there's a connector that needs to be unplugged. I was wondering what it was for because I accidentally left it unplugged last time i changed the oil. I think it has something to do with the power steering. Anyone know? What is the connector/harness under the oil filter for on an 01 crown vic?
It could be the oil level sending unit that is located in the oil pan. If it were an O2 sensor harness your check engine light would have lit. But honestly, it could be a lot of things. Everything I can think of that is important WOULD set off the check engine light. I would not worry about it. Just be more careful next time. Good luck. What is the connector/harness under the oil filter for on an 01 crown vic?
Not likely.it is most likely to a sending unit on the engine. When you reconnect it you should first disconnect the battery cable .
the only plug-in i know is the wire going to the oil sending unit.
