What is the difference between Oil Filter and Fuel Filter?

Where are they usually located? What is the difference between Oil Filter and Fuel Filter?
If your talking about automotive oil/fuel filters (and not household furnaces where the words oil and fuel are interchangeable), the difference is this. The oil filter is used to keep impurities from entering the engine by way of the oiling system. These filters are changed approximately every 3000 miles at every ';oil'; change. The fuel (or gasoline) filter is used to keep impurities from entering the engine when you fill up with gas. These filters, depending on make, model and useage, are changed about every 35,000 miles. What is the difference between Oil Filter and Fuel Filter?
Well, one filters the oil, the other filters the gas.

The oil filter is usually located somewhere on the underside of the engine block. Most of them look like a big soup can that is screwed into the engine housing.

The fuel filter is usually a small module located somewhere along the fuel line between the gas tank and the ignition system. It's job is to make sure that there are no big particles in the fuel that will clog up the fuel delivery system (i.e. the injectors).
one is for oil and the other is for fuel !

the oil is on the engine on one side towards the bottom you have to look for it and car engine are different !
I think that the oil filter filters oil and the fuel filter filters fuel but I could be wrong.

Hmm', now what could an air filter filter? I won't sleep tonight.
oil filter filters the oil. fuel filter filters the fuel. oil filter is located on the engine block. the fuel filter is some place in the fuel line.
oil filter is on the bottom of the engine, fuel filter can be in tank, under car, or on engine :)
One filters the oil and the other filters fuel. Both located in different areas.
The oil filter removes sludge and contaminants in your engine oil. It is usually located at the bottom of your engine block. The fuel filter does the same for your gasoline before it enters your fuel injectors or carburetor. It in located in your fuel line, usually just before the line is connected to the fuel pump near the top of the engine.
One filter your oil that you should change every 5,000 miles depending on your make and model of car. The other filters your gas which usually last for 20,000 miles.
.................. OIL FILTER is to clean engine oil .........located lower part of engine .................. where as fuel filter ............... is to clean .....gasoline which you put in petrol tank ........... it is located ....in fuel pipe before it enters in engine ........
oil filter filters contaminates in the oil and is located on the engine block somewhere, Usually on the back in Honda's. It looks like a can with multi sides, sometime orange (Fram brand that is very popular)

Fuel filter filters out contaminants in the fuel and is usuallyy located attached to the fire wall on newer cars, or in the tank on older cars. Look for the hose that runs to the fuel line on the engine and trace it back to a filter holder. usuall black with brass fittings.
The micron size is smaller on the gasoline filter.
An oil filter filters the oil in your engine. It's attached to your engine. A fuel filter filters your gasoline before it gets to your engine. It's near where the gas tank connects to the fuel line.
A OIL FILTER IS FOR OIL AND A FUEL FILTER IS FOR GOOD GAS MILEAGE.
oil for motor oil, fuel for gasoline; best to consult owner's manual or mechanic for location (under hood) to replace properly
