Can i change the oil filter without draining the oil?

I recently put the wrong oil filter on my 2002 chrysler sebring, while changing the oil. I was wondering if i want to switch oil filters do i have to drain the oil again? or just twist off the oil filter and replace it?Can i change the oil filter without draining the oil?
yes you can. DO it when the vehicle is cool or has sit for 20-30 minutes after running. That way the oil has time to drain down into the oil pan and you can switch the filter, without getting oil everywhere. Can i change the oil filter without draining the oil?
just replace the filter all you'll lose is the oil in the filter so just top it up no worries...just dont forget to check to make sure the rubber oring came off with the filter and that you lube the new oring going on.
you can just replace the filter by it self.
Yes you can do that. Just check the oil when your done.
try it..most filters r high up...youll lose some oil but most will stay in pan...do it cold after all oil has drained down
