every 3000 miles is oil change but how long for the oil filter? thank youHow long for the oil filter change?
EVERY OIL CHANGE! LOL CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER EVERY 3K MILES OR 3 MONTHS. WHICH EVER COMES FIRST. ROTATE YOUR TIRES EVERY 6 MONTHS AND HAVE YOUR BRAKES INSPECTED AT THE SAME TIME! Change the filter the same time you change your oil. Also it would be good if you put oil in the filter by a funnel and soak the filter element. This helps lower the dry start time and lowers engine wear. Hand tighten your filter as much as it will go, there is no need for tools to tighten. Also dispose your oil responsibly as it is hazardous waste. Most auto parts stores and recycling facilities accept used motor oil.

u can keep ur oil filter for about 6,000 mile if u ar using a full synthetic motor oil,this mean u change oil without the filter at first time and next time with the filter.


i have been doing this with my car for 6 years,and the engine is still running perfectly.


but if u ar using a normal mineral oil,i strongly recommend that u change the filter every time oil changed.
you could ask the people who change your oil but i usually do the oil change myself save 10 time more
the filter should be changed every 3000 miles...so every oil change...the filter should be changed as well. Remember the filter is just as important as the oil is, if the same filter is left on and only the oil is changed then how does the filter collect debris if it is basically depleted? It cannot which can contaminate your oil and or ruin your engine.
change teh filter when you change the oil, its the best practice. the filter gets gummed up with the oils crud so if the oil is bad, the filter is too
Same as the oil. If you don't change the filter at the same time you change the oil you are mixing the dirty/old oil that is in the filter with the new oil.

Everytime you have oil change, where ever you go .Those people suppose to change your filter too. Then an inspections would be okay.
