get a good oil filter wrench at auto zone or place like it. Don't poke hole in it, makes a mess and if filter is on to tight will just rip it apart and you'll be stuck with about an hour of work trying to loosening a bent up old oil filter while oil is running down your arm.How to change the oil filter in a 05 chevy classic?
unscrew the old one, and screw the new one in
poke a screw driver through the old one, and use the driver to give you the leverage to remove the old one, then screw the new one in
